Schweizer Filmschaffende haben die Möglichkeit, sowohl an MEDIA-geförderten, als auch an durch die MEDIA-Ersatzmassnahmen unterstützten Weiterbildungen teilzunehmen. Die Workshops bieten ganz nebenbei exzellente Möglichkeiten zur internationalen Vernetzung.
MEDIA Desk Suisse publiziert die Get Trained!-Broschüre mit Kurzbeschreibungen aller Weiterbildungen, aufgeteilt nach folgenden Bereichen:
- Drehbuch und Entwicklung von Spiel-, Dokumentar und Animationsfilmen, sowie TV-Serien
- Produktion, Koproduktion und Postproduktion
- Management, Recht, Nachhaltigkeit
- Marketing, Vertrieb, Auswertung

Schweizer Filmschaffende haben normalerweise zu allen in unserer Broschüre aufgelisteten Veranstaltungen Zugang. Personen mit zusätzlicher Nationalität eines EU- oder Creative Europe-Mitgliedslandes empfehlen wir, diese Nationalität bei der Anmeldung anzugeben. Sollten Sie wegen Ihrer Schweizer Nationalität abgelehnt werden, geben Sie uns bitte bescheid.
Weiterbildungszuschüsse
Um die Wettbewerbsfähigkeit der Schweizer Filmbranche und die europäische Vernetzung zu fördern, stellt das Bundesamt für Kultur im Rahmen der MEDIA-Ersatzmassnahmen Zuschüsse für die Teilnahme an MEDIA oder MEDIA-Ersatzmassnahmen geförderten Weiterbildungen zur Verfügung. Weitere Infos dazu hier.

Script Development
ComedyLab | TorinoFilmLab
Writers and comedy writers/performers collaborate to develop amusing feature film projects. Both targets can apply with or without a project. The programme comprises one two-day long preliminary workshop and 3 week-long residential modules (April, June and November).

Project Development
3D Character Animation | The Animation Workshop/ VIA University College
Nine-week course for animators. Participants collaborate with industry instructors to master 3D character animation, applying classical principles to body mechanics, movement, and performance, culminating in a show‑reel and written reflection.

EURODOC | EURODOC
The 3-weeks programme aims to help producers in the artistic and financial development of their documentary project, to improve their knowhow in terms of international co-production and company management, reinforce the skills independent production requires and significantly expand their professional network. It further includes in-depth one-on-one sessions with industry experts.

FeatureLab | TorinoFilmLab
A 1st and 2nd feature films training programme, for projects at an advanced development stage. The lab focuses on artistic and creative aspects, as well as production and promotion strategies. Ten creative teams of director and producer are selected to take part in 2 week-long residential modules (June and November) and 1 online module (September).

Masterschool | Documentary Campus
In this 10-month programme participants get the opportunity to develop a factual film/TV/digital project in a market-focused environment. It consists of workshops and webinars, individual mentorship and 1-on-1 consultancy with industry experts and networking opportunities in the most important European Documentary Markets.

SeriesLab & SeriesLab Story Editing | TorinoFilmLab
SeriesLab, a training programme for international teams of writers and producers to develop original, commercially viable TV series, offering workshops, online sessions, and tutor support through the full process from concept to pilot development. SeriesLab Story Editing, a hands-on module for professionals who wish to act as story editors alongside writers, director-writers, and creative producers, learning to shape series projects into marketable packages. Both strands culminate in a final pitch to industry professionals and aim to foster deep understanding of TV development, storytelling, and market-oriented production.

APostLab Mentorship Program | APostLab
It provides 1 year of personalized coaching for six professionals working in post-production. It combines monthly one-on-one sessions and group sessions. It is designed to help participants strengthen their technical and managerial skills, grow their confidence, and take the next step in their careers. It is led by experienced post-production supervisors.

A pool of tutors examines the rough cut of feature films and analyses them together with the film teams within an online consultation.
