Schweizer Filmschaffende haben die Möglichkeit, sowohl an MEDIA-geförderten, als auch an durch die MEDIA-Ersatzmassnahmen unterstützten Weiterbildungen teilzunehmen.

MEDIA Desk Suisse publiziert die Get Trained!-Broschüre mit Kurzbeschreibungen aller Weiterbildungen, aufgeteilt nach folgenden Bereichen:

Weiterbildungs­zuschüsse

Um die Wettbewerbsfähigkeit der Schweizer Filmbranche und die europäische Vernetzung zu fördern, stellt das Bundesamt für Kultur im Rahmen der MEDIA-Ersatzmassnahmen Zuschüsse für die Teilnahme an MEDIA oder MEDIA-Ersatzmassnahmen geförderten Weiterbildungen zur Ver­fügung.

Aktuelle Deadlines

In unserer aktualisierten Get Trained!-Broschüre finden Sie rund 80 Weiterbildungen, die mit Unterstützung von Creative Europe oder der Schweizer MEDIA-Ersatzmassnahmen in ganz Europa angeboten werden. Die Workshops bieten ganz nebenbei exzellente Möglichkeiten zur internationalen Vernetzung.

Schweizer Filmschaffende haben normalerweise zu allen in unserer Broschüre aufgelisteten Veranstaltungen Zugang. Personen mit zusätzlicher Nationalität eines EU- oder Creative Europe-Mitgliedslandes empfehlen wir, diese Nationalität bei der Anmeldung anzugeben. Sollten Sie wegen Ihrer Schweizer Nationalität abgelehnt werden, geben Sie uns bitte bescheid.

Zusammen mit dem Bundesamt für Kultur (BAK) bietet MEDIA Desk Suisse Schweizer Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmern Unterstützungsbeiträge zu den Kosten an. Weitere Infos dazu hier.

Script Development

 

AI Storytelling Bootcamp | Series Mania Institute
This 3-day bootcamp focuses on how AI can support, expand, and challenge creative processes in fiction development and text-based creative work. Participants learn how to use generative AI for content creation and also as a creative sparring partner or virtual editorial colleague. Explore how virtual target audiences can be integrated into the development process and test the latest AI tools. Understand the legal and ethical considerations surrounding AI in creative industries.

International Screenwriters' Workshop | eQuinoxe
The seven-day training programme is for writers and their producers who are in the script and project development phase of their feature projects. The focus is on finding ways to make the screenplays more competitive and compelling in order to expedite the pathway to production. The writers meet with internationally known and experienced screenwriters, directors and script editorsin in one-to-one discussions. The producers attend a meeting with writers and advisors, as well as participate in a coproduction session with a media lawyer.

Docuseries Ins & Outs | EURODOC
A new programme, dedicated to the development and production of documentary series: Consolidate expertise, develop new storytelling practices, map the market and co-production opportunities and build a solid international network. The workshop will bring together a dozen professionals from Switzerland, Germany, Austria and Italy, as well as a pool of European experts and decision-makers.

Producers Workshop | EAVE
EAVE is aimed at producers who wish to expand their operation internationally by increasing their knowledge of producing and co-producing in Europe and by building up a pan-European professional network. Half the participants attend the course with projects, the other half focus on developing their companies or careers.

TFL Next – TV Series 2025 | TorinoFilmLab
20 TV Series projects at an early development stage presented by scriptwriters or writers/directors together with a producer (if on board) will be selected. The participants will work on their concepts alongside peers and a tutor, implementing the techniques and skills necessary to develop successful TV Series.

APostLab Annual Workshop | APostLab
APostLab is a 6-day, residential, project-based programme, involving plenary sessions, group work, and individual training. It aims to give participants a deep understanding of the technical, financial, and creative aspects of post-production in a European, international co-production environment.

Biennale College Cinema | Fondazione La Biennale di Venezia
Nine international microbudget projects and their teams will be invited to participate in a 10-day workshop in Venice. The workshop will cover the conception, development, production, direction, marketing, audience engagement and distribution of audiovisual works. Three teams will then be chosen to participate the script and production workshops.

Biennale College Cinema - Immersive | Fondazione La Biennale di Venezia
The 7-day workshop is open for teams with  immersive concepts of up to 30 min duration that can be made within € 75'000 and completed for exhibition at the Venice International Film Festival in 2026. Twelve teams will participate in the workshop and up to three projects will be selected to participate in the further stage workshops.

Clearing Rights for Film and TV | Erich Pommer Institut

ATF x TTB Animation Lab & Pitch | EAVE
The Lab brings together producers with animation projects from Asia and Europe and offers an insight into the animation markets, financing and co-production possibilities in both continents. Two online prep sessions in autumn are followed by onsite activities with industry decision-makers in December. Participants will prepare for the market launch and pitch of their projects, which will take place at the Asia TV Forum & Market (ATF) in Singapore.

TIES THAT BIND - Asia-Europe Co-Production Workshop | EAVE
TIES THAT BIND is a training programme for European-Asian co-production. Participants will work with industry professionals from both continents. They will meet leading Asian and European sales agents, funders and potential co-producers during FOCUS ASIA in Udine

Audiovisual Women | Erich Pommer Institut
Audiovisual Women helps participants sharpen their skills, expand their networks, and unlock new business opportunities. They benefit from a mix of live on-site and online training, 1:1 business coaching, exclusive networking events, and a flexible self-study phase. Key topics include: (digital) leadership, entrepreneurship, innovation and change management in a VUCA world, as well as communication and self-marketing.

Cartoon Business | CARTOON - Association Européenne du Film d'Animation
The training seminar event offers didactic presentations about the animation business by key animation players, one-to-one meetings and social events for the industry. A new feature is additionally introduced this year: The Business Clinic. It will allow participants, including newer entrants to the industry, to ask specific business related questions and receive targeted advice from experienced consultants.
