Schweizer Filmschaffende haben die Möglichkeit, sowohl an MEDIA-geförderten, als auch an durch die MEDIA-Ersatzmassnahmen unterstützten Weiterbildungen teilzunehmen. Die Workshops bieten ganz nebenbei exzellente Möglichkeiten zur internationalen Vernetzung.
MEDIA Desk Suisse publiziert die Get Trained!-Broschüre mit Kurzbeschreibungen aller Weiterbildungen, aufgeteilt nach folgenden Bereichen:

Weiterbildungszuschüsse
Um die Wettbewerbsfähigkeit der Schweizer Filmbranche und die europäische Vernetzung zu fördern, stellt das Bundesamt für Kultur im Rahmen der MEDIA-Ersatzmassnahmen Zuschüsse für die Teilnahme an MEDIA oder MEDIA-Ersatzmassnahmen geförderten Weiterbildungen zur Verfügung. Weitere Infos dazu hier.

AI Storytelling Bootcamp | Series Mania Institute
This 3-day bootcamp focuses on how AI can support, expand, and challenge creative processes in fiction development and text-based creative work. Participants learn how to use generative AI for content creation and also as a creative sparring partner or virtual editorial colleague. Explore how virtual target audiences can be integrated into the development process and test the latest AI tools. Understand the legal and ethical considerations surrounding AI in creative industries.

LIM² - Less is More | Le Group Ouest
Around 50 projects will be selected for three online sessions and masterclasses, aimed at supporting the early stages of development through innovative tools and methodologies. A 1st and 2nd feature films training programme, for projects at an advanced development stage. The lab focuses on artistic and creative aspects, as well as production and promotion strategies. SeriesLab, a training programme for international teams of writers and producers to develop original, commercially viable TV series, offering workshops, online sessions, and tutor support through the full process from concept to pilot development. SeriesLab Story Editing, a hands-on module for professionals who wish to act as story editors alongside writers, director-writers, and creative producers, learning to shape series projects into marketable packages. Both strands culminate in a final pitch to industry professionals and aim to foster deep understanding of TV development, storytelling, and market-oriented production.

Production Value | FOCAL
An 8-day workshop on the scheduling and budgeting of European feature films and limited series. The first group consists of 7 line producers and 7 assistant directors, who will be paired. ACE Animation Special | ACE Producers
16 to 18 producers will be selected for the 6-day workshop, preferably with a long-form/feature-length animation project at concept stage. The workshop will offer sessions on animatic story development, international production workflows, the creative dynamics of animation production, financing strategies and international distribution. Group sessions, plenary sessions and one-to-one meetings will be included as well.

Cartoon Business | CARTOON - Association Européenne du Film d'Animation
The training seminar event offers didactic presentations about the animation business by key animation players, one-to-one meetings and social events for the industry.
